Research Page Directions

1. Open MSExcel and open you class data sheet
2. Open your CD Rom Portfolio
3. Create a new page in your CDRom portfolio and call it research.
4. Associate the new page with your basepage.
5. Create a link button with Adobe Photoshop that says Research. The size of the button could be 150 pixels wide by 25 high.
6. Create another button in Photoshop that says the name of one of your catetories in your class data sheet. For example, Favorite Color. The size could be 200 pixels wide by 25 high depending on how long your category title is.
7. Save both button as Photoshop buttons then as .jpg buttons.
8. Place the Research button on your base page in your CDRom using your picture tool.
9. Plase the category button on your Research page in your CD Rom.
10. Link the Research button to your Research page.
11. Create a new page in your CD Rom that is the name of your category, for example, favorite_color.
12. Link that page to your base page.
13. Right click on the graph that you create create in MS Excel for your category. Please NOTE, we will be going over how to create the graph in Excel. Please see picture at the bottom of this page for an example of what the graph looks like.
14. Switch back to Mediator CD Rom and go to your category page.
15. When you are on your category page such as favorite_color, at the top click on edit, then paste.
16. It will ask you to save the file. Please save it in your images directory under your cdrom directory.
17. At that point you should see your graph on your category page, i.e. your Favorite Color page.
18. Click save, then run your cd rom to test the links.
19. REPEAT THIS ABOVE PROCESS FOR AT LEAST FOUR CATEGORIES, FOR EXAMPLE, Favorite Music, Favorite Sport, Eye Color, etc.
