Practicing the Play

Authors of Plays in this class will also be directing their own plays. As the director of the play you will need to coordinate rehersals. The first thing you wil need to do is print out 3 or 4 copies of your play so that your actors will have a script to read from.

The directors job is to coordinate the actors actions and give them advice on how to act, how to say their lines, and any advice on what should happen in the play. For example, if the line in the play should be said loudly then ask the actor to speak up. If the actor needs to be dialing a phone, then the director has to make sure they dial a phone as part of their performance.
